Langkawi Ride, Jan 2018.

This is my first ever ride over 500km, which is 562km from Senawang to Kuala Perlis Ferry.
Only 4 of us, Wak, Arip, Imal and me. Our journey began on 25th January, 11p.m.

Overall, the expenses for accommodation, fuel, food, island hopping, and et cetera was around RM800.  It is quite expensive if compared to other method of travelling, but riding experience that matters, right.

We all gathered at PETRON Seremban (RnR) and had few stops every 100++ kilometres.

1st Stop : Tanjung Malim
2nd Stop : Tapah
3rd Stop : Semanggol
4th Stop : Gurun
5th Destination : Kuala Perlis Ferry

We reached Kuala Perlis Ferry at 5.20 a.m. 562km ride was hell. Rain poured heavily for almost half of the journey. I was mentally dispirited by the long ride.

General Election

14th General Election (GE) could be held in April or May. The date is still not confirmed and we are all waiting for the Prime Minister to dissolve the Parliament.

14th GE will witness our historic former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir, as he will be contesting and nominated as Prime Minister if Opposition wins the election. There is high probability for him to win a chair considering the voters who lived or supported him during the 22 years of premiership, might still vote for Tun.

I still have faith in Barisan Nasional. Why? Below are my key points.
  1. Stable and strong GDP Annual Growth Rate which indicates best health of country’s economy.
  2. Good Debt-GDP ratio. Current Debt-GDP is at 53.2%. The opposition keeps on whining that Malaysia is in critical debt but the fact is, there are other countries that have higher debts and still running good. The analogy for us is like: We earn RM1000, and we have debt for about RM500, which we still have balance of RM500. Can you tell me how are we going to be bankrupt if we have balance of RM500?
  3. 1MDB? 1MDB is not part of DOJ civil lawsuit.
  4. GST? GST is important for growth and reduces reliance on other income (i.e. PETRONAS). GST is the most practical taxation policy.
  5. NFC? It was highlighted in 2010 Audit Report, way before Rafizi’s media release. It was acknowledged by General Auditor that NFC was incapable in providing the agreed amount (cows). RM240m is loan (not free gift, which NFC needs to pay).
I do not have any other concerns. Should you have any, let me know. The questions and answers will be updated here.

PEACE

First Post for 2018

2018! The last post was in 2016.
Hi reader(s) – not sure if there is a reader or not.
Today is 3rd March 2018 and everything has been great so far.

General Election
2018 will witness another general election that may be held in April or May, the 14th General Election. Barisan Nasional (BN) has been the ruling government since 1957 and since then, the opposition components have had failed to defeat them.
Not much to elaborate on election but I believe that BN will continue to win and govern the country.

Marriage
Friends and relatives around my age are getting married. There is no number for the fact but it is happening and I can feel it.
What do I feel? I am feeling like “When will I find my partner and be ready?”.
Allah surely has good plans for us. Sooner or later, everyone will find their soulmate.

Life is so mysterious. We do not know what is coming and of course we do not want to gamble our lifetime decision. Marriage requires lifetime commitment and responsibility. Well, when the time comes, it will come.
Worry less and live happily.
